"I have been working for years to promote a responsible energy policy that works to increase energy effciency and invest in alternative and renewable energy sources."
Lois Capps
"Listen - Of course money changed everything, but so does sunlight, and so does food: these are powerful but neutral energy sources, neither inherently good nor evil but shaped only by the way we use them."
Elizabeth Gilbert
Geothermal energy is a natural source of energy that has been used for a long, long time. Geothermal energy is stored inside the earth in the form of water, where it can then be pumped out and used in many different, but all beneficial ways. Out of all the different uses of geothermal energy this website focuses on water heating. One of the main benefits of geothermal energy is the fact that it does not cause pollution because it does not emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and is very environmentally friendly. Not only is geothermal energy good for the environment, but it is very cost effective. Since geothermal energy is stored in the earth the water is naturally warmer. This is why it is less expensive and more beneficial because instead of starting to heat up a person's water at 50 degrees fahrenheit the ground water is naturally warmer (58 degrees fahrenheit), so it is using less energy. Geothermal heating could be used in every building, and just imagine what we could save then.
